Swagbucks – Free Stuff – Revisited

Swagbucks? I’m a huge fan. I’ve been using this site for a couple of years now – and they keep adding new stuff which is pretty awesome.

My blog “100 Daily Swagbucks” is a passive way for anyone and everyone to easily gain those extra pennies with little to no effort each day. I cover most methods in case some people favor surveys, games, new trials, etc – the choice is yours! I will be updating this very soon! Swagbucks has added some new features which I will be happy to cover.

The latest they’ve added was Swag IQ – Trivia Games played a couple of times a day and today I watched 60 people earn about $250 EACH in SB! No, it’s not cash… But when you can transform that into Visas, Amazon Cards, WalMart, Target, Starbucks, etc… It all adds up to saving you money!

The entire lifetime earnings of my account is approximately $360 – paid on mainly in Amazon Cards because as you’re already aware – I’m a huge advocate of Amazon Prime.
do checks my links regularly to make sure my trials/referrals are still working!
If you click on a dead link – please leave a comment – text – or email!

How long have I been a member? According to my Activity History – 7/2016.
I should be closer to 54,000 SB – To be consistent with 100SB/Daily.
I’m only 18,000 Short – Which means my methods WORK!

In the Swag IQ I noticed many questions being asked, so I’ll try to cover them as they pop up.

When Does The Trivia Begin?
Your Trivia will begin at the top of the hour of your indicated time.
This is shown by PST or EST.
Game generally begin within 5 minutes of the passing hour.

Can I Change My Answer?
Unfortunately? No. Once you’ve made a selection that’s it.
I would assume this will not change because of the Active Chat.

Can I Rejoin?
You have once chance to “redeem yourself” and continue on towards the grand prize.
You can only rejoin once – so make those answer count!

How Much Can I Win?
The total pot amount is shown when you log into the app.
At 20,000 Participants Last Quiz – Current Prize is $1,080.
I was in a game of 20,000+ people and the payout was over $2,000.
Figure $100 for every 1,000 Participants (?)

What do I win?
Everything is paid out in SB Dollars.
No, you do not win cash 😦

What Is The Hyperloop?

A few years ago Elon Musk introduced the idea of the Hyperloop – an underground travel system to compete with California’s High Speed Rail.

The concept was that a High Speed Rail is limited by the terrain – and mainly needs equally flat surfaces in order to truly be efficient and reduce risks of faults, slips, earthquakes, or other acts of God.

The Hyperloop would consist of massive tubes which would run the course from Los Angeles to San Francisco. These tubes would carry “passenger pods” at speeds of about 700 – 750 Miles Per Hour: Which would mean a commute which typically takes 5-6 hours would be cut down to about 30 minutes.

It’s estimated a One-Way ticket would cost about $20, but the real financial burden always comes with the design and implementation. Consider the faults in California Musk’s design would have plated sections which would freely move with the Earth to prevent catastrophic failures.

Elon Musk is known as a billionaire entrepreneur and is attached to private companies such as Tesla and SpaceX. There have been over 100 prototype pod designs from over 25 teams.

There is currently a Hyperloop being designed in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be interesting to see how their Hyperloop unfolds and will most likely impact the designs and implementation of the system without our own state of California.

FreedomPop $.01 Cent 4G LTE SIM Cards!

Alrighty… I’ve got the deal for you!

There are a few different types of crowds this will benefit – let’s start with a few possibilities of how this penny SIM can help you:

Note: Pay attention after checkout, many times you will be offered a second SIM for

HotSpot Users – If you’ve got an AT&T/GSM Unlocked HotSpot you can pop this SIM in and utilize their data.

Google Voice Users – If you’re not attached to a phone and would like to order a SIM (maybe two..) then you’re solid!

Transfers – If you’re consider transferring providers – FreedomPop uses the AT&T or Sprint Network, but these are for 4G LTE (GSM/AT&T) devices ONLY! If you need to activate a Sprint device you’ll need to check the status on their website.

I’ve tested the Network myself and you get full LTE Service, here are one of the SIM cards I received.

Sorry for the blurry picture, my camera wasn’t agreeing with me.

Screen Shot 2018-02-20 at 4.17.18 PM.png

One thing to note is you’ll want to make sure you’re on the plan you want. After you activate your SIM you can log into your account and check out your available plan settings. Many times you can call them or “attempt” to cancel/downgrade and BAM – another month for $1!

FreedomPop has excellent reception / data services, but they’re Support isn’t the best. Prepare for patience when dealing with them,  BUT if you’re super nice and courteous and ask for a deal.. They’ll hook you up big time. That’s one thing I can say about this company is since they’re not that huge, they’re hungry to keep their current customers.

Go over and get your penny SIM now!

Jakemy Screwdriver Kit

This toolkit is amazing. As you know, I was happy with my Synsus Toolkit, but this one definitely beats it for the mere $7 extra. And the orange! I love orange!

I decided on this one because even though I loved my Synsus kit, it lacked the screen separator. I began pricing these out separately and found them anywhere from $4-20. I figured I needed another toolkit anyways (Home, Work, and Travel Bag) I would order this for my Travel Bag.

Main Tool: The handle is a bit thicker than I am used to or prefer, but after just two projects it’s already grown on me. It is light enough to be easily handled and maneuvered when it comes to phones, but is also strong enough to handle Desktop / LCD / TV screws. I don’t recommend using this tool for them, but it does work. This is where the secondary driver (noted below) comes in.

IMG_0041.JPG

Repair: My first project for today was an iPhone 6 Plus – which as you can see needed a new Power Button Assembly. As soon as the Pentelobes were out I put this separator to use – and it works wonderfully! Even when screens are already broken you want to use special care when attaching your suction cup and definitely be mindful of how much pressure is being used. This tool took the entire headache away. I even tested it on project #2 – an HP Laptop.

IMG_0042.JPG

Laptops: Now this is what really separates this setup from other electronics kits. There is a hand driver included with Philips/Flat tips – this was great for the laptop. It definitely took any worry out of stripping screws which is another hassle when it comes to these universal kits

I’d have to say the nice additional touch for me was the pump. I was able to use it on the laptop and see some particles fly off. Of course I hit it with my compressed air afterwards, but since we don’t all carry a can of air this is a great piece to have.

If you’re considering getting into electronics repairs OR looking for a totally solid kit – this is the way to go.

My only complaint is the Separator and Opener both feel flimsy (plastic feel, but sturdy) rather than feel like a solid tool. The opener works, but it’s for lighter devices than I had imagined. Aside from these two – everything else is great!

5 Free Methods To Market Locally

So you’ve got a product and you need some buyers, interest, volunteers, or resellers. How do you reach out to them? Marketing has changed in many ways thanks to the Internet, but we’ll cover those 10 ways next. First – let’s start with developing a repertoire with your local community. There are many ways to do this – and you know what? I like Free – so let’s get out there and find some free customers.

1) Chamber of Commerce:  I insist that you begin by visiting the Chamber which is in the city that you’ll be doing the most business in. No – we’re not joining them (yet). We’re here for Information! The Chamber is an excellent resource when it comes to finding information about all of the city sponsored events happening in your area. There are business mixers, farmer’s markets, street fairs, Veteran’s lunches/dinners, ribbon cuttings, and much much more which are very public. While this isn’t exactly a way to market – it’s a powerful resource to find out where to market.

 2) Facebook Pages are a great way to keep yourself connected to your audience and gain new members – you can even take advantage of free $10, $15, or $20 advertising credits to reach a specific demographic. Be sure to take the time to fill out every single detail, upload a great page image – and be sure to update often! Don’t overdo it – more than once a day can cause you to lose followers. Here you can upload all of your Products, and even add features such as Shops so customers can purchase directly. Join your local Buy/Sell Groups and introduce your new product and offer demonstrations. Many libraries offer 1-2 study rooms, you can use these to your advantage to give your customers a Professional setting if you’re not making house calls or have your own office.

3) Local Events: such as the farmer’s markets, street fairs, city/state fairs, etc are always looking for volunteers to help with setups and tear downs. Many of these places require a fee of $20-100 in order to have a 12×12 booth and usually it includes power. You can possibly avoid this fee by going through your Chamber of Commerce and finding out when these events are scheduled and then ask to speak specifically with the Coordinator (start with one event – don’t try to attack them all at once!). Be sure to consider which Event will reach the targets you’re looking for!

Always dress professionally and if possible – have business cards ready or at least a mobile number to be contacted at. You can discuss that you’re a local and you’d love to help with any needed setups in exchange for a position at the event. You’d be surprised how often you will get approved – personally if I’ve ever found a spot or event that I want to be at then I’ve worked out a spot entirely free of charge. You just need to find out what they need help with – and provide! Maybe someone needs helping baking a specific item, or is lacking a portable barbecue? You’re in!

 4) Door to Door: If you’ve got a product – you’ve most likely got marketing materials. Most companies provided you with the printed material necessary in order for you to properly promote their business. You’ll notice that if you want to provide your own flyers – sometimes you can be asked to remove them or submit them for approval before use.

These are great to have even though it’s primarily a numbers game, so be sure to have about 100-200 ready. D2D is definitely something people don’t enjoy, downright hate, or try to avoid. Personally I used to hate this approach until I started changing my mindset on the method. I was always marketing/selling someone else’s product on the Business to Business or D2D level, but when I began marketing myself everything changed.

Since I knew what I was offering and I was the Owner/Head/One Man Show then I had more confidence in what I was offering when I knocked on that door. That’s when I realized it’s all about believing in the product that you’re promoting. If you’ve got a solid product that you love, then it’s much easier to share it with others. One major aspect to Marketing or Sales is you’ve got to have that thick skin and be able to openly and effectively communicate with your people and there’s no easier way to put it.

The thing I love about D2D is that I know that there is a yes out there and I will find it. You can help by giving yourself small rewards after every meeting. Grab a coffee, a Snickers – whatever it is to pump you up for the next sale!

5) Offer An Event: What better way to get in front of people than promote a demonstration? Since you’ve already got your Facebook Page ready, why not add an Event? There are several ideas when it comes to where to do this.

The fastest? Your local park! Some other places could again be your local library; many of them have outside benches and they will allow you to setup a table (usually) and give your demonstration.

Libraries always need volunteers and have events – if you were able to give some time up they’re usually more than willing to give the love back.

Small businesses can always use some help getting customers in their doors. Just think of places you visit regularly – do they know your name? Most likely you know at least one business owner or can easily get acquainted with one. You can offer to have a clean setup which is out of the way of their doors or customer path to give your presentation. Many times people who stay will often browse the local shops.

Sure, many of my methods require some leg work. That’s part of being your own boss! I wanted to create a short list just to get the ideas rolling of who you can talk to and how you can earn yourself some free publicity. Up next I’ll have 5 Paid Methods to get out there – and of course it’ll have the coupons, discounts, tips, & tricks you’ll need to maximize your spending!

Syntus Precision Magnetic Repair Kit

For the most part I haven’t purchased many kits when it comes to repairs. I’ve been happy with my separate tool kits hanging on my wall – all within reach.

As a traveling tech though, it’s not fun carrying a large tool bag – especially when you’re merely repairing an iPhone, Laptop, or Desktop device!

I was looking for something portable, sexy, and cheap. Sure, there is the $59.99 iFixIt Kit – but I’ll save that order for a future employee when I hand this one down!

Behold – The Syntus 80 -N – 1 Precision Toolkit!

As an Amazon Prime member, this baby arrived right next to my replacement iPhone 6 Plus Rear Camera. (Review Later)

What I love most is it’s not overly magnetic. I prefer smaller form screwdrivers so the size feels natural, and the material is solid. The metal tools are great for separating parts in Desktops or Laptops, and of course it includes the plastic tools as well for phones or tablets.

I’m not going to over every individual tool – but from the page you can see all of the included tools. I’ve found them all to be very solid! The paint brush is a nice touch when it comes to dusting 🙂

I would definitely order this again, and obviously recommend it to other technicians. Up next will be my review for the Jakemy Screwdriver Set. Since I’m scheduled for repairs – I’ll include some action shots in that review!

Brinks Prepaid – Get $20 Instantly

I’ve gotten a lot of inquiries about not having funds for free offers from Google Express, Swagbucks, or HP Instant Ink due to not having a credit card. I’m here to save the day again!

First things first! In order for you to receive your FREE $20 (which is instant after your initial load) you must make a deposit of at least $40!

Personally I am a fan of having a Pre-Paid Debit Card on the side for those “accessory” purchases. It’s a way for me to keep a separate savings/splurge account so I don’t tap into the finances I truly need. So every check I’ll kick $100, $200, or more to this account which is great because I can keep it if I’m ever in a tight spot.

The plan you’ll initially sign up with is 100% Free To Own with NO MINIMUM BALANCE and NO DIRECT DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS. You can however earn some nice rewards once it recognizes your spending habits… Which could either be a great or terrible thing!

The way it works is you’ll visit Brinks PrePaid and sign up to have a card mailed to you. Most of my cards arrive within 3-5 days. Your next step is to load your initial $40.

Here’s where it gets tricky. You have multiple options for funding the card – and I’ve witnessed all to work 100%.

  1. Bank Transfer – If you want to completely eliminate costs and maximize your $20 – use this method. It does take longer than manually loading the card, but you avoid $4.95, $3.95, or $1.95 fee.
  2. Credit Card Transfer – Use your Visa or Mastercard to instantly fund $40 to your account. This is by far the fastest and easiest method – but it’ll cost you $1.95 to do the transfer. Not a bad investment for an easy $20!
  3. PayPal Transfer – This is basically the same as a bank transfer. PayPal will verify your account, and once connected you can transfer the money over.
  4. In Person Cash Load – Aside from the Credit Transfer – this is the 2nd fastest way. Once your card arrives you can find a Cash Load Location, but be mindful of the loading fees. They can range anywhere from $1.95 – $4.95 – sometimes a cheaper solution is literally down the street or right around the corner.

And that’s all there is to it! So what are you waiting for? Get over there and grab that free $20!

Have you seen my other entries? You are guaranteed to find at least one that will benefit you OR save you money!
